Patient Scheduling Supervisor Job at UP Medical

Duties and Responsibilities
- Oversee Paycom timecards for all direct reports, approve/deny leave requests, and reinforce overtime & meal premiums policies
- Coordinate with Intake, eligibility & authorization teams
- Train all new patient experience staff for Los Angeles and Orange county
- Assist in creation and monitoring of standardized protocols for all business operations
- Create and monitor on-call schedule for all lines of business in Los Angeles & Orange county (Lancaster, Palmdale, DTLA, and behavioral health partner facilities)
- Lead and manage ad-hoc projects relating to patient experience operations across the medical group as a whole
- Ensure that patient experience team answers phone calls in prompt and professional fashion while optimizing patient satisfaction and provider time
- Direct incoming calls and emails appropriately
- Coach the patient experience team to properly monitor patient appointment requests according to our process, call patients to schedule, rectify insurance eligibility issues & alerts, manage the reminder list to schedule appointments, and other applicable tasks
- Handle complex cases that need to be escalated from associate and coordinator level patient experience staff
- Work with people operations team and senior leadership to compile future staffing needs and analyze current resource allocation
- Be a leader in the office and help to foster a culture of positivity, encouragement and collaboration. Communicate positively, effectively, and professionally
- Monitor daily performance of patient experience team members to ensure duties are completed accurately
- Conduct performance management reviews for your team in alignment with the company-wire review schedule
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience with patient scheduling in a healthcare environment
- Experience in behavioral health, podiatry, or vascular medical care is a plus
- Complex healthcare appointment scheduling experience
- 2+ year of experience in a supervisory position
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $29.00 - $33.00 per hour
