Payroll Administrator Job at Brandt Companies
Primary Functions:
Key-in weekly payroll data and archive time sheets/time cards for all Brandt employees.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review accuracy of weekly time cards. Verify reported overtime, shift differentials and other standard pay variances with employee supervisors when in question.
- Key-in weekly payroll information.
- Update and process weekly garnishments (child support, IRS, etc.).
- Update and process voluntary deductions (HSA, 401(k), etc.).
- Set up and audit deductions for union payroll. Make corrections accordingly.
- Update scale wage changes for union employees.
- Prepare monthly union payroll reports. Contact union payroll representative directly with any related questions or concerns.
- Perform additional assignments as requested/needed.
Qualifications:
- High school degree or equivalent
- 1-2 years business school or accounting training
- 6 months payroll experience (or equivalent combinations of experience and education)
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to consistently meet deadlines
- Solid organizational and communication skills
- Excellent/accurate data-entry skills (at least 140 kpm)
- Basic understanding of payroll auditing
- Ability to create and modify spreadsheets in Excel
