What will you do?
The Payroll Specialist will be tasked with:
- Timely and accurately processing semi-monthly payroll for salary and hourly associates
- Reconciling payroll accounts, posting payroll journal entries and accruals
- Coordinating registration with new states added to payroll system for State Unemployment, State Withholding and all applicable local taxes
- Processing wage garnishments
- Verifying adjustments in pay for raises, bonuses and commission
Must-Have’s:
- Highschool Diploma or GED
- 3 years’ experience in a similar role (Payroll coordinator, AR/AP rep, Payroll clerk)
- Excellent attention to detail
- Exceptional mathematical and calculation skills
- Verbal and written communication
- Ability to work with a team
- Knowledge of different types of payroll software
- Knowledge of payroll, garnishments and benefits distribution
- Multitasking abilities
- Good research and analysis skills
Nice-to-Have’s:
- 5+ years’ experience preferred
- Associate’s degree in related field a plus
- Certification a plus
- Experience with Paycor a HUGE plus
