Raytheon Technologies has an opening for a Software Tester who will work as part of a small test team in Herndon, VA to support Performance/Regression/Automated testing on software applications in varying stages of deployment (from emerging technologies to legacy systems). This position requires knowledge of modern automated testing methodologies and technologies. The person in this role will be responsible for manual testing when the coding of an automated solution is impractical or not desirable. As the technology stack expands and grows, our team of testers will be required to work with the application developers to support performance/load testing to fully evaluate the application capabilities.

The person in this role will have with the following experience:

• Minimum of 16 Years of relevant experience or 13 years with a Bachelors Degree - this is a MANDATORY REQUIREMENT and is not optional.
• Experience with API testing through Swagger
• Experience with SQL queries for data validation (Oracle, Postgres)
• Expert in Selenium WebDriver as well as other automated testing technologies such as Katalon Studio and Cucumber
• Writing automated code (Java) as opposed to simply click and record
• Ability to evaluate developer assignments, independently understand requirements, and engineer tests to evaluate best path scenario as well as probe for possible failure conditions
• Knowledge of how to use an IDE to code (ex – IntelliJ, Eclipse, NetBeans)
• Experience with interacting in a Linux environment (ex - Bash scripting, VI)
• Expertise in writing test plans, cases, procedures, scripts, and scenarios
• Demonstrated history with manual and automated test processes
• Ability to work well in a constantly evolving work environment
• Ensuring the QA and testing approach references all known vulnerabilities and best practices
• Conducting and reporting/documenting tests using a repeatable process based on industry best practices
• Maintaining and updating the test environment
• Hands on experience with JMeter

This position requires a TS/SCI with Polygraph on day one and is located in the Herndon area.

Requires advanced to expert knowledge of work area typically obtained through advanced education combined with experience.

May have broad knowledge of project management. Requires substantial knowledge of RTX projects, programs or

systems in order to provide enhancements within job area. Typically requires: A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 8 years

prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years experience

Engineering/Other Technical Positions: Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a

minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulations.
