Job Description
Burnett Law Office is a boutique firm focused on personal injury, medical malpractice, wrongful death, and product liability litigation. We are a small team focused on quality representation, rather than quantity representation. We do not have quotas; our focus is on our clients.
We are currently looking for a talented, client-focused, and dedicated paralegal to join our team. This paralegal should be capable of working on a case from intake, into litigation, trial, and settlement.
Job Responsibilities:
- Communicate with clients, insurance adjusters, opposing attorneys and staff.
- Assist with all aspects of litigation including case workup, discovery, and trial preparation.
- Assist with all aspects of pre-litigation, including accident report and medical record gathering, demand drafting, and lien resolution, among other things (with assistance from a legal assistant).
- Maintain and manage case load with little guidance.
- Work on complex assignments which require advanced problem-solving skills.
- Current knowledge of Microsoft Word suite and Adobe PDF documents.
- Experience with practice management software is beneficial.
- A paralegal Certificate is beneficial, but not necessary if sufficient experience in the position.
Burnett Law Office is a family run firm. We offer a positive, friendly, and relaxed work environment. Our office is located in the East Valley on the Mesa/Gilbert border on Baseline and Val Vista Drive.
