Roles and Responsibilities:
Job Summary/Overview:
The PI OperationsTechnician II at SAS/STS is responsible for performing functions associated with all manufacturing and/or system operations, such as working with engineers and manufacturing in set-up of data collection tasks, system support, failure analysis, documenting/following standard operating procedures, as well as performing rework and quality testing related to the process and production of memory chips and logic. Uses sophisticated programs to collect and evaluate operating data to conduct in-line adjustments to products, instruments, equipment, or processes. In addition, determines and may assist in developing methods and procedures to minimize or eliminate delays in production lot workflow to promote efficient data collection. Requires compliance with all health, safety and environmental management system guidelines.
Specific Job Duties:
In addition to the duties of a Technician II:
- Follows and interprets standard operating procedures to ensure equipment/processes/systems are running effectively and/or to respond to more complicated failures, maintenance needs, incidents, quality issues, damaged areas and/or defect issues
- Applies company policies and procedures to resolve routine and non-routine issues
- Utilizes knowledge to perform work when SOPs are incomplete or unavailable
- Works with Engineers to conduct tests and experiments
- Provides support for more complicated new and existing Roles and Responsibilities inherent to the PI Operations technician role
- Documents items through the generation and/or modifications of specifications, SOPs, and failure analysis reports
- Collects and analyzes data requiring abnormal sampling and provides relevant feedback to the request submitter
- Enhances and develop new techniques as improvements are identified; modifies SOPs as needed

Shift: Compressed Work Week (CWW) - B Shift, 7pm-7am
Skills and Qualifications:
Education, Training, Certification(s) and Minimum years of experience required
- High School Diploma or technical school certification preferred
- Typically requires 3-8 years of experience
- Semiconductor or high-volume manufacturing experience preferred
- May require trade knowledge in a specialized field

In addition to the skills of a Technician II:
- Intermediate level EXCEL knowledge
- Maintains confidentiality of sensitive and proprietary information
- Able to work in a team environment
- Understands manufacturing systems
- Effectively communicates via verbal/written means to immediate team and other SAS/STS departments
- Intermediate knowledge of relevant SAS/STS systems
- Has intermediate knowledge of relevant software tools (i.e., Jira, SharePoint, SAS/STS applications associated to standard PI Operations tasks)
- Ability to work flexible hours as necessary
