DuPont has a manufacturing leadership opportunity open in Salisbury, NC. This site produces ArmorWall™, the Premium Performance Exterior Commercial Wall Solution, and is aligned to the Shelter business within the Water & Protection business of DuPont. The products manufactured at the Salisbury site incorporate five traditional building enclosure elements into a composite panel product: structural sheathing, fire-resistance, air barrier, water-resistive barrier, and a high-performance continuous insulation layer.

The Salisbury Plant Leader leads by example and role models DuPont’s core values. The successful candidate will exhibit authentic leadership through daily interactions and engagement with the team. The candidate will lead an empowered workforce of approximately 50 employees and serve as the representative of DuPont to the community.

Responsibilities:

• Embraces and role models DuPont Core Values
• Partners with leaders to stay informed of the business strategy and needs; engages with employees to communicated business strategy and gain insight on strengths and challenges to delivery of strategy; Leads change to meet business needs
• Establishes financial accountability and rigor to deliver against plan and gain value from our assets and investments by pulling the right levers to manage expenses, margins, etc.;
• Establishes and communicates challenging performance goals, metrics and outcomes for site to safely and efficiently meet or exceed production and quality goals aligned to customers’ needs
• Hire, retain and develop talent to meet current and future capabilities; promote a diverse, equitable and inclusive environment; Coaches and provides performance feedback to team members to align on expectations and overall team effectiveness; Uses reward and recognition to drive the right behaviors and results; Defines a plant leadership learning and development plan tied to capability and development needs
• Promotes commitment and ownership to Operational Excellence by engaging team members to identify opportunities for continuous improvement, eliminate waste and remove barriers; uses lean and digital tools effectively
• Collaborates across functions (R&D, Supply Chain, Engineering, Finance, Quality, etc.) to align resources, eliminate inefficiencies and deliver value
• Interacts in a timely fashion with customers, community, regulatory and media to maintain strong external relations

Qualifications

• A minimum of a bachelor’s degree BS, Sciences, Engineering, Supply Chain
• A minimum of 10-15 years of manufacturing experience is required
• Six Sigma/Lean Practitioner
• Leadership roles in Manufacturing such as EHS, Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain, Maintenance and Technology

Preferred Qualifications

• MS/MBA
• APICS, CPIM Certification
• Process Safety Management
• Digitally enabled tools and systems
• Delivered large change initiatives
