As a City of Stoughton Police Officer, you will have daily opportunities to serve and make a difference in people’s lives. Our officers protect and enhance the quality of life by providing fair, conscientious and professional law enforcement services to our community. Stoughton is a rapidly growing suburb of Madison and Janesville, WI. As our city grows so does our Police Department. We are recruiting for a current vacancy and to establish an eligibility list for future vacancies. As a progressive agency, we are interested in individuals from any and all backgrounds: no previous law enforcement experience is required. For those who have served in law enforcement, we offer a generous lateral package.

• Do you have Wisconsin Police Officer certification with previous experience working with the public, or the ability to complete a Wisconsin Police Academy within one year of appointment, or any combination of education and experience that provides the equivalent knowledge, skills and abilities?
