WSH Management is currently recruiting for Porter at our 104-unit apartment community in Gilroy, CA, near Monterey Rd and Lewis St.

Job Description

The standard responsibilities include ensuring that public spaces are clean and tidy, collecting debris and equipment and placing in an appropriate location, performing light maintenance such as changing light bulbs and spot cleaning areas as needed.

Position Details

• Clean all common areas, rooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, laundry centers, rest rooms, corridors, elevators, stairways, baseboards and other work areas.
• Ensure that all trash bins are moved outside for pickup and promptly returned to storage room (twice a week).
• Light maintenance (unclog toilet, change bulbs, etc.).
• Preparation of vacant apartments for move-in by new residents and completing resident requests for service as directed by Resident Manager.

Requirements

• 1-2 years relevant experience as a porter, custodian.
• Light maintenance (unclog toilet, change bulbs, etc.) experience preferred.
• Must possess a valid Driver's License, reliable transportation and current auto insurance coverage as this position may require some driving for company business.
• Basic computer skills; experience with navigating internet browser, email and calendar.
• Possess proficiency of the English language, including the ability to understand and communicate effectively with other employees, customers and vendors who only speak English as necessary to perform essential job duties.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Candidate will be required to pass a background and drug screening (A conviction will not necessarily disqualify you from employment with WSH Management).
