TrinityRail Corporate is searching for a Portfolio Manager in our Dallas, TX HQ.
This person will be a key member of the Portfolio Management team, reporting to the VP of Portfolio Management. They will develop and execute car type strategies supporting the overall Strategic Business Plan. The individual will be responsible to lead the effort with the Portfolio Management team to build portfolio strategies for each of the new Business Verticals to support the Strategic Plan. This position requires a high degree of technical and analytical skills based on the complexities of the fleet, including equipment that transports hazardous commodities.

What you’ll do:
- Lead the effort with the Portfolio and Commercial Team Leadership teams as a Subject Matter Expert to develop and execute portfolio strategies
- Lead the effort to ensure continuous process and system improvements for the Portfolio Managers are documented, planned and executed
- Take the Lead Role on Managing Quotes and Orders with the Commercial Team to ensure the proper assets are assigned to the associated opportunities
- Responsible to work with the Engineering Team to ensure all costs are captured accurately for equipment that require modifications prior to lease
- Responsible to communicate all required equipment modification for quotes to the Commercial team during the quote process
- Responsible to quote accurate deliver timeframes for existing car quotes based on input from Maintenance Operations and TRMO
- Take the lead role to ensure all cycle time metrics for the Processing of Quotes and Orders are met
- Participate on Lease Renewal Process with Cross Functional Team to ensure we meet the Business Operating Plan for renewals. This will include assessing the potential termination costs for the lessee based on the lessee contractual termination provision
What you’ll need:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, Logistics, Supply Chain required
- 8+ years Railcar leasing experience
- Strong Leadership with proven ability in directing Cross-Functional Teams
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to quickly grasp complex data sets with an intuitive sense of financial and operational implication/prior data analytics a plus
- Enthusiasm for technology
- Industry related experience in leasing, operations and / or experience in market specific areas in which we compete including energy, chemicals, agriculture, construction, metals or consumer products is a plus
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced work environment
- Ideal candidate must have strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Strong communication skills with the ability to present to all audiences
