Winnebago Towables has an immediate need for an experienced candidate to fill a Post Sales Product Safety Administrator position. This is a key position that will establish and manage critical product safety and compliance processes for the Winnebago brand. As the Post Sales Product Safety Administrator, you will work cross-functionally with Engineering, Service, and Quality teams to lead the field action decision-making process. In addition, you will interact with key regulatory partners such as the National Highway Traffic Safety Association (NHTSA) and Transport Canada. This position will be based in Middlebury, Indiana, but may require travel to other business units.

Key Areas of Responsibility

• Support the process for identifying potential safety-related or compliance issues; partner with data analytics team to continuously improve trend identification capability.
• Manage and champion corporate decision-making process for field action including associated record keeping and report outs.
• Assist in technical investigations of potential field issues, as necessary.
• Communicate all post-sales related product safety, up to executive level, as needed.
• Interface with regulatory authorities as required, including leading any response to agency requests or investigations
• Submit all post sales regulatory reports to appropriate agencies, including recall related reporting and EWR/TREAD (if applicable)
• Serve as company representative on relevant Recreational Vehicle Industry Association (RVIA) subcommittees
• Complete recall execution as required, including cost estimate tracking and completion rates
• Complete post-sales process trainings such as regulatory reporting, decision making, etc.
• Other duties as assigned based on business need

Critical Competencies

Exceptional communication skills (verbal, written and presentation) and the ability to do so at all levels, particularly with C-level executives on strategic issues.

• Sound problem-solving ability, experience with root cause/problem solving tools preferred (8D, Fishbone, FMEA, etc)
• Demonstrates curiosity and tenacity – has an interest in learning and understanding “whys”, asks questions, shares point of view

Education & Experience

• Engineering degree strongly preferred
• Minimum of 5 years of engineering experience
• Technical aptitude required; prior experience with motorized equipment preferred
• This position may require travel to other Winnebago locations (20% or less)
