Description
- Ability to properly prepare molds prior to pouring of heat
- Ability to properly prepare molds for shakeout process
- Ability to take and pour test samples from the ladle stream
- Must follow LOTO procedures to carry out routine and general cleanup of the shakeout machine
- Capable of assisting with all aspects of the pouring of a heat
- Capable of segregating castings by part # as they are removed from shakeout
- Possesses the knowledge to operate equipment properly
- Demonstrates proficiency in both production and quality
- Ability to recognize and report problems with equipment
Requirements
- Basic math skills (counting, addition, multiplication)
- Must have the ability to repetitively lift up to 100 lbs. (employees are encouraged to seek assistance when lifting over 50 lbs. and assistance is readily available.)
- Work in or near extremes in temperatures and dusty environment
- Work in proximity of molten metal and sparks for duration of shift
- Able to follow instructions and complete assigned tasks in an unsupervised manner
- High school diploma or its equivalent
- Must have the ability to read, write, and speak English
- Must have reliable attendance, willing to work flexible hours, & work well with others
- Must perform other duties as assigned
