As a Powder Coat Operator, you will be responsible for performing the duties of the powder coat process. Additional responsibilities include maintaining equipment and using proper safety techniques.
Our day shift works Monday - Thursday, 6:00 AM - 4:30 PM

• Performs all duties and responsibilities with an emphasis on safety.
• Completes all documentation as required for each job.
• Continuous learning regarding machine operation to gain skills and proficiency to operate more complicated machines on more difficult work, including machine setup.
• Works with close supervision in coordination with other team members and other departments in the company.
• Actively eliminates potential hazards.
• Maintains regular and timely attendance.

Prep

• Hang and handle material.
• Thoroughly inspect equipment and parts to ensure quality.
• Sands products by utilizing various sanding equipment.
• Manage documents and keep product inventory.

Powder Coat Application

• Apply powder primers & powder coating finishes.
• Assists in the cleaning and maintenance of equipment daily.
• Monitors machines always for proper operation.

Take down & Packaging

• Inspecting finished products to ensure quality standards are met.
• Take down and packaging of powder-coated products.
• Manage documents and keep product inventory.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Minimum 1-year experience in a manufacturing environment is strongly preferred.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Familiar with spray and polymer applicators, powder coating systems, aluminum powder coating concepts, and industry best practices preferred.
• Ability to adapt to changing organizational and operational needs.
• Skill in organization and prioritization, and attention to detail.
• Flexible and responsive with a strong teamwork orientation.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
An employee must meet the physical demands described here to perform the essential functions of this position successfully. Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the operations.

• Must be able to stand up to 100% of the time.
• The person in this position must occasionally move around the production floor.
• Frequently lifts up to 25 lbs. and occasionally up to 50 lbs. from floor, overhead, and waist level.
• This position will assist in pushing/pulling carts with over 50 lbs. of force, occasionally distances of over 30 feet.
• Constantly positions self to reach for elevated work, twist, squat, kneel, and bend to reach areas on frames during welding and grinding.
• Occasionally ascends/descends stairs.
• Constantly handles equipment and components requiring continuous grasp and will perform frequent handling of small items and writing.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
Work may involve moderate exposure to unusual elements, such as extreme temperatures, dirt, dust, fumes, smoke, unpleasant odors, and/or loud noises.
