Job Summary
Our Advanced Engineering Team in Novi, MI is looking for a Power Electronics Design engineer to join their team! This role will work closely with Sr. Engineers and Technical Fellows to develop Power Electronics used in our power conversion products. These products support battery technologies critical at Our Next Energy to fulfill our mission of longer range, better safety and improving our supply chain.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Design Circuit Schematics using Altium
- Circuit design involving power, analog, and mixed signal functions
- Assemble and troubleshoot prototype circuits
- Test bench setup and design evaluation and characterization
Qualifications and/or Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or a related field is required
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in power electronics or similar skill
- Experience with high voltage (400v to 800v) highly desired
- Experience with battery technology is a plus
- 1 year with PCB Layout and Physical Design – Altium preferred
- Experience using oscilloscopes, multimeters, bench power supplies and other similar lab tools experiencer preferred
- Desire to learn and attention to details
Work Schedule
- Work schedule to be established with manager to ensure company’s client and business needs are met
