St. Stephen School located in Baltimore County, Maryland is seeking a part time PreK3 teacher for the 2023 - 2024 school year. This teacher has the opportunity to become part of a dynamic school community and would be responsible for instruction in all core subjects including religion in a self-contained classroom in our prek building.

Job Responsibilities:

• Develop and document weekly lesson plans and labs consistent with curriculum guidelines
• Provide grade appropriate instructional program within the content of the Archdiocesan Curriculum in all subject areas
• Maintain high professional standards consistent with the mission of the school and the teachings of the Catholic Church
• Responsible for the safety and active supervision of students at all times and for classroom management
• Implement lessons utilizing techniques to motivate, challenge and engage students
• Establish reasonable standards for student achievement, updating PowerSchool grade book weekly
• Interact effectively and respond to all parent communication in a professional empathetic and timely manner
• Participate in all faculty meetings, retreats, school committees and in-service learning opportunities
• Must have necessary classroom management skills to supervise adolescents
• Work collaboratively with other teachers, staff and administration
• Actively participate in ongoing professional development and professional learning communities

Qualifications:

• Degree in Elementary Education and/or 90 hours certification
• Current MSDE certification and/or 90 hours certification
• Experience in a Catholic School setting is preferred
• Must be a practicing Catholic
• Must be comfortable with technology to include G Suite for Education (including Google Classroom), Smartboards, Chromebooks
• Must have a commitment to Catholic School education.
