Our client is looking for an experienced, motivated self-starter for the Director position at their premier preschool in Stafford, VA. Candidates must have strong leadership skills, excellent communication skills (verbal and written), a genuine love for children, and a strong commitment to education. Responsibilities:

• Overseeing the operations of the school, specifically focusing on educational programming, special events and activities, relationship building, faculty training & development, and quality assurance
• Using a growth mindset to train, coach and develop the school for the future
• Developing strong relationships with our families
• Complying with state childcare licensing regulations
• Projecting a positive and upbeat attitude while working in a fast-paced environment
• Willingness to assist the managers and mentor teachers promoting an effective and supportive leadership team
• Willingness to serve in various roles as needed, including teacher and school bus driver. A clean driving record is a must for this role
• Ability to maintain accurate and up-to-date records

Qualifications:

• CDA, AA, or BA/BS in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Education or a related field preferred
• At least 3-years of Director experience in a licensed childcare center or preschool required
• Familiarity with NAEYC and/or Virginia Quality is highly preferred
• Familiarity with and willingness to closely adhere to and enforce federal and state childcare licensing standards required
• Basic computer skills required, including proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, etc.)
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• An inspirational leader and team builder

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
