PROGRAM INFORMATION

Tiny Troops Soccer is a minority woman-owned and operated military spouse business that has employed over 150+ military spouses, dependents, and civilians around the world. Our mission is to serve military kids and their friends all while teaching the great game of soccer to the youngest generation of players, ages 2-4 years old. We build happy and confident kids, developmentally ready soccer players, and a community for all.

The Tiny Troops Difference is that WE are building a global community of active, healthy children who are equipped to deal with the stressors of military life. We strive to bring a safe, fun, and playful activity into children's lives that instill in them a sense of importance, self-worth, camaraderie, and love for soccer to carry on into every adventure where life takes them.

WHAT YOU WILL LOVE ABOUT US

• You will receive specialized lesson plans, games and activities that are easy and simple to follow, and will be supplied each session.
• You will complete an online Coach Training Course curriculum specifically designed for our program that will prepare you for your first day on the field.
• You will have access to a supportive and soccer-loving community of people that come together once per month for meetings, as well as several fun community events for all.
• You get to assist the primary coach each Saturday by helping all players to stay engaged and have fun during instruction time.

HOURS

The hours range from 3.5-5 hours per week during scheduled sessions. Additional hours are available during the week as a primary coach on Monday-Thursday if desired. Saturday availability is required for this position unless otherwise noted. There will be occasional administrative tasks such as communicating via slack and email, reviewing the lesson material for the weeks you coach, and the monthly coach meetings that occur on weekdays. These activities will take approximately 1-3 hours per month of your time.

HOURLY SALARY

Entry level coaches begin at a competitive $19/hour. Administrative and off-field tasks are paid at $15/hour.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Age 18 years and above at the time of submitting your application
• Consistent Saturday availability with a possible Sunday in the case where a makeup session is utilized
• Ability to communicate and respond in a timely and professional manner with both the administrative team and parents
• Desire to be a team player and ambassador in representing your location on and off the field by promoting families to register for your sessions
• Have a passion for teaching soccer and working with young children
• Access to personal, reliable transportation to and from the field's location
• Mobile phone with ability to support and stream your sessions via Facebook live on the official evaluation page

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Minimum of a consecutive 6-month commitment
• Experience in any of the following areas: coaching, playing, refereeing soccer, babysitting, nannying and/or teaching

2023 CLASS SCHEDULE

The Assistant Coach will work the following days and be available to possibly cover the primary coach in case of emergency or planned time off-

EX: Saturday morning schedule

9:00-9:25 a.m. - 2 year olds

9:45-10:30 a.m. - 3 year olds

10:45-11:30 a.m. - 4 year olds

PLEASE NOTE:

If you would like your child to participate in the classes you coach, you must guarantee that another adult is present at every class your child attends to help with participation or to remove them from the field if any issues should arise.
