Babes on the Square Too is one of 2 privately operated Early Care and Education Programs in the State of Delaware that is NAEYC accredited. We are seeking loving, caring individuals who want to make a difference in children's lives. We are seeking Toddler Teachers, Assistant Teachers, and Interns that will help support and care for children 6 weeks to 2 year old's.

Salary is based upon education, credentials, and length of experience working with children in a group setting. Up to 80 hours paid time off in the 1st year for full time employees.

SIGNING BONUS of up to $500 after 90 days.

Responsibilities will include but are not limited to the following:

• Establish and maintain a positive, safe, healthy, and nurturing developmentally appropriate classroom environment.
• Care and educate children within the guidelines of the Office of Childcare Licensing, NAEYC Standards, and the policies and procedures set forth by Babes on the Square Too.
• Observe and support the process of evaluating children's performance, behavior, social development, and physical health.
• Maintain a classroom that is clean and organized
• Be a role model for children, providing positive behavior strategies, and respecting each child as an individual.
• Be able to effectively and respectfully communicate with all those you come in contact with including parents, perspective parents, co-workers, and Administration or any one else that you may come in contact with while at the program.
• Be a supportive team player and support your fellow co-workers

Minimum Qualification

• High School diploma or equivalent
• To have or be eligible to have a Delaware certification as an Early Childhood Assistant Teacher or Teacher
• Experience working with young children in a group setting
• Clean Criminal Background Check and Child Abuse Registry check
• Clean bill of health approved by a Health Care Professional

Pay: $12.50 - $18.00 per hour
