Job Description – Lead Teacher Preschool

Thank you for your interest in Olive Tree Day School. We are a private Christian
preschool. Work hours are 8 - 3:15 Monday - Thursday and Friday mornings 8:45 - 12:15. Friday is not a school day; it is a day for drop off daycare for our families and community only. The class does have a full-time aid that works with you as a co-teacher.

We are seeking someone who is patient and passionate about the intellectual and emotional development of children. We are currently in search of an equally passionate and enthusiastic teacher to join our small school family. Our group is fun, kind and energetic. We are a Christian preschool and believe in sharing the love of Jesus! This position does include leading a morning circle time with prayer. This position is for our three year old class.

Please do not apply unless you have at least 1 year teaching and classroom management as well as a minimum of 12 child development units of ECE units.

Job Description Duties Include:
- Prepping for the day: including cleaning and tidying up
- Helping sanitize and clean toys and supplies, covid cleaning
- End of the day duties: Sweeping, cleaning tables, emptying trash, making sure all
supplies and your room is prepped and ready for next day.

- Creating morning sensory tables and activities
- Creating a monthly curriculum of crafts for 2's and 3's
- Storytime
The preschool teacher must have at least 12 child development units and CPR
certified. (You can also be enrolled for your 12 units, if you are currently in school.)
You also must have classroom management experience and teacher experience at
previous schools. Please do not apply if you do not meet these requirements.

 Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development or
related field or Valid EEC certification, must have 12 units in Child Development coursework
 1+ years’ experience in teaching capacity and lesson planning
 Passionate about the development and well-being of children
 Excellent verbal and written communication skills
 Able to pass a criminal background check
 CPR Certification and Mandated Reporter Training

Immunizations: MMR, TB Test, TDAP
