Heartworks is currently seeking a
Preschool Teacher to join our team in
Shelburne. Heartworks, STEAMworks & Loveworks, is a network of 6 preschools and early learning centers across Vermont. We prioritize employee experience and the total well-being of our teachers and leaders.

A TYPICAL DAY LOOKS LIKE:
- Eight-hour shift (openers typically arrive at 7 a.m.; closers typically stay until 5:30 p.m. - COVID precautions and policies may impact these hours).
- Following and maintaining all state-mandated COVID precautions and policies for early learning centers.
- Designated one-hour break per shift.
- Following a set schedule that helps children establish healthy eating, sleeping, and bathroom routines.
- Working in close contact with your co-teacher and school colleagues.
- Implementing and evolving the Heartworks philosophy of teaching.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Demonstrate kindness and respect for self, others, and our community at-large.
- Skilled in play-based learning approaches and social-emotional education.
- Deliver required paperwork and completed lesson plans on time.
REQUIREMENTS
- Adhere to all VT Public Health and Child Care Regulations.
- Authorize state-required background check.
- Act as mandated reporter, both on and off campus.
- Help ensure classroom environments adhere to NAEYC’s Anti-Bias Early Education.
- Ability to stand, move, run, and play for the majority of the day.
- Ability to lift up to 30 pounds multiple times a day.
- A degree in Early Education, Elementary Education or related field; or at least 21 college credits that count for being a Teacher Associate level.
- Previous experience of working in an early education environment is preferred.
- Must be able to work a full-time schedule

SALARY
- $18.50-$22.00/hour
