Pricing Analytics Manager

The Manager of Pricing Analytics will develop pricing solutions and drive data insights for all branches. This role will develop strategy for list price, customer discounts, and data insights for regional commercial leadership to grow sales and margins.

Essential Job Functions, Duties, and Responsibilities:

• Manage and standardize how discounts are applied to customer accounts, managing supplier cost changes in a commodity-based business, and developing new technology to support the business.
• Provide data-driven recommendations that increase sales and margins while improving efficiencies for a branch-based business.
• Supporting regional commercial leadership with insight generation, pricing support, and execution of new strategies.
• Regional pricing will need to align with the corporate strategy and improve efficiencies and margins continuously.
• Support the development of new pricing tools, processes, and the new ERP for all operating companies.
• Ability to communicate with commercial teams on price changes, process improvements, or customer insight.
• Other duties as assigned.

Ideal Skills:

• Understand large dataset, and develop analytical models to optimize pricing, discounting, and renewal.
• Work across business lines to understand balance sheet risk and other risk management fields.
• Proficiency pricing data analysis, financial modeling, SQL, and PowerBI and derive actionable insights with measurable results.
• Strong analytical skills, experience with infrastructure, tools, systems, and reporting.
• Work with the supply chain, technology, and commercial teams to develop and manage pricing platform (customer, regional, branch, and volume related discounts)

• Bachelor’s Degree in Data Science, Economics, Business, Life Science/Biomedical Engineering, and Software-related field
• 5+ years analytical experience (pricing related analytics preferred)
• Innovative thinker with analytical problem-solving skills.
• Experience working in data science/analytics, particularly within distribution related fields.
• Ability to work effectively within a team in a fast-paced changing environment - multi-tasks, prioritizes and meets deadlines in a timely manner.
• Strong project management, team skills, and influential management
• Works on complex problems where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of various factors.
• Proficient in leading individuals and optimize the use of technology to solve pricing challenges across a rapidly expanding business.
• ~10% travel within the United States
