JOB BRIEF- PRICING SPECIALIST I

The Pricing Specialist I at ELITE Transit Solutions is directly responsible for creating effective pricing strategies and market evaluations. This role requires excellent communication and analytical skills as the goal is to safeguard and augment the efficiency of the company’s operations to facilitate accelerating development and long-term success.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Analyze current market conditions and develop pricing strategies for success.
• Win freight on the daily/weekly spot markets based on projected truck rate and margin.
• Communicate with CSMs/BDMs/AMs to better understand their accounts/freight to help maximize win percentages and profitability.
• Accountable for rolling out price change initiatives and strategies.
• Evaluate market and competitive data to optimally align pricing strategies within the market space.
• Track the execution of agreed pricing action(s) and recommend pricing moves and competitive response.
• Frequently review prior work/quotes to confirm accuracy and/or analyze errors
• Other duties as assigned.

SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS:

• 1-2 years of pricing experience.
• Excellent organizational abilities.
• Outstanding communication and people skills.
• Flexibility and adaptability is a must
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Excellent negotiation skills.
• In depth knowledge of diverse business functions and principles. (e.g. supply chain, finance, customer service etc.)
• Working knowledge of data analysis and performance/operation metrics.
• Brokerage or freight management experience.
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, primarily Excel.
• Knowledge of various business software (e.g. ERP, CRM).
• 4-year degree preferred.
