About the Role
As the Principal Engineer you will be working with the pedestal and electrostatic chucks (ESC) development team on advanced concepts for RF power delivery and plasma generation for eventual application to Etch and Deposition applications in semiconductor processing.
As the Principal Engineer you will find a challenging opportunity producing high-quality products that will serve leading companies in industries such as semiconductor manufacturing, sustainable energy production, medical equipment and food safety. As a team member in this role it is expected to develop new inventive designs and technologies through all phases of product development. An experienced RF Engineer who is hands-on and fosters customer relations to solve complex challenges and create breakthrough solutions.

In the role of Principal Engineer you would be located at our Santa Clara, CA Advanced Development Center
Your Key Responsibilities
- In-depth knowledge of RF (kHz – 30MHz) and high voltage DC technologies for semiconductor processing equipment
- Hands-on capability with RF technology as applied to plasma processing
- Specify the development of pedestal/ESC design of complex scope
- Ability to work with the engineering team on implementation of these designs and technologies through all phases of product development
- Ability to interact with customers (external and internal) to solve complex electrical issues related to pedestals/ESCs
- Ability to implement plasma processing capabilities in the in-house testing equipment
- Ability to generate clear product specifications
- Perform engineering analysis of complex scope and generate engineering test reports
- BS or MS in Electrical Engineering or similar with experience in RF design
- Application to pedestal/ESC and plasma reactor design and understanding of plasma interactions and issues
- 15+ years of experience
- Excellent analysis and trouble-shooting skills
- Knowledge of the Semiconductor industry is a plus
- Good communication skills
- Strong team player
