What does Systems Integration &Test do?

SI&T integrates, verifies, and validates our products.

We put our systems together, exercise them in the lab or in the field, measure and analyze performance, and make sure our products work the first time and every time. To accomplish this we develop plans and procedures, debug and evaluate system functions and interfaces, develop test environments, and work hand-in-hand with our customers.

Job Summary:

The Mission Capability Verification Center within Systems Integration and Test is searching for engineers to support program test operations and Telemetry data collection and analysis activities under the Patriot team at White Sands Missile Range, NM.

Responsibilities to Anticipate:

• Operation, Maintenance and Sustainment of telemetry software and hardware, before and during testing in the field
• Support mission execution, which includes movement of telemetry vehicles, generators, and equipment set-up
• Coordination and checkout of telemetry equipment, data collection, analysis software tools, and tracking of telemetry reduction packages
• Support Live Missile firings while collecting telemetry data.
  • This includes working outdoors under various weather conditions, and in the vicinity of energized equipment, radar radiation hazards, and unexploded ordnance.
    
• Travel to support test execution at both domestic and international locations. Test events may occur over weekends or holidays, and will require extended hours
• Other duties as required including ability to travel to support test events
• Ability to lift and carry 25+ lbs.

Qualifications You Must Have::

• Typically requires a Bachelor’s in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM), with preference for Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, and System Engineering and a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience. In lieu of degree, a minimum of 9 years of relevant experience is required
  • Relevant experience includes the operation and maintenance of tactical and non-tactical equipment in support of test execution. Must also have experience with data analysis and the use of commercial test equipment
    
• Experience with troubleshooting equipment, including the use of industry standard test equipment such as oscilloscope, multi-meter and spectrum analyzer
• Experience analyzing of large data sets using data analysis tools such as MATLAB
• Ability to travel to support test execution
• The ability to obtain and maintain a US security clearance prior to the start date. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

Qualifications We Value:

• Experience with upgrading computer systems
• Experience with the Patriot Air Defense System
• Experience with data acquisition systems, such as Dewesoft
• Familiarity with both Windows and UNIX operating systems
• Experience with programming, including C programming and HTML
• Experience with NISPOM security guidelines
• Experience with data collection related to tactical military systems
• Knowledge of RF-receivers, digital logic, IF/RF and microwave systems, analog and digital recorders, timing systems, computer operation, maintenance, and software applications.
• Knowledge of technical theories, concepts and modulation theory, including FM, Bi-phase Modulation and PCM.
• Expertise using test equipment, such as oscilloscope, multi-meter and spectrum analyzer.
