Under the immediate supervision of The Head of Golf Operations and Assistant Golf Professionals, receives payments for the golf course and applies proper cash handling procedures in point of sale.

• Receive cash and credit payments. Operate cash registers.
• Accountable for City revenues of golf course.
• Greet golf course patrons.
• Receive golf course reservations.
• Maintain golf pro shop in a neat and orderly fashion.
• Explain rules and rates of the golf course and facilities.
• Receive telephone calls and take messages.
• Report daily accounts and ledgers. Assist with tournament functions.
• Assist with golf carts, clubhouse and golf course maintenance when needed.
• Meets with vendor representatives and orders merchandise
• Places all pro shop orders including but not limited to special merchandise orders.
• Processes all invoices and keeps accurate records of all transactions.
• Receives merchandise and prepares merchandise to be placed in the pro shop for purchase.
• Organizes displays and pro shop merchandise.
• Responsible for monthly and quarterly inventories of merchandise.
• Maintain memberships and all membership records, and is responsible for contacting members for renewals.
• Oversees the promotion and selling of memberships to the course.
• Perform related duties as assigned.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Lifts and carries up to 100 pounds, and pulls, pushes, or drags up to 150 pounds of maintenance equipment. Crawls, kneels, squats, stoops, and twists for extended periods while supervising or inspecting work. Sits, stands, or walks for extended periods of time while supervising or writing reports. Works indoors and outdoors in extreme temperatures including heat, cold, temperature swings, or inclement weather. Some exposure to dust, odor, electrical, mechanical and toxic hazards, using proper safety precautions. Must be able to work outside in all types of weather.

Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions. Some clerical or customer service experience and possession of a High School diploma or GED is required.

Must possess a valid Texas Driver's License.

Knowledge of golf course etiquette and regulations. Must have the ability to work weekends and holidays; and work split shifts (mornings and evenings); present a clean, neat appearance and a courteous attitude.
