This position improves the effectiveness of the workforce by developing and implementing process improvement projects in operations and developing standard processing procedures in the plant. This role utilizes statistical process improvement methodologies and leads small project teams to ensure the successful completion of team objectives.

What you will do:

  • Identify Improvement Opportunities in existing manufacturing operations, justify procedural changes or process modifications, and established operating procedures for the plant throughout the life of continuous improvement projects
  • Optimize processes to attain lower manufacturing costs, increased productivity, and reduced cycle times
  • Identify training needs and develop training and standard operating procedures for employees to ensure effective use of continuous process improvement methodologies
  • Conduct safety audits and observations throughout the CIP’s to ensure safe practices are not sacrificed by procedural changes or process modifications
  • Lead tactical site-level projects and contribute to regional and divisional projects
  • Identify, communicate, and overcome obstacles that may prohibit meeting production requirements
  • Improve process procedures by partnering with operating employees in various departments to collect, analyze, and implement results via training or capital expenditure recommendations

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Eighteen (18) years of age
  • Legally authorized to work in the country of employment without needing sponsorship now or in the future for employment work visa status
  • A Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution
  • Two (2) years of work experience in an engineering function
  • Experience with Continuous Improvement processes/techniques such as Six Sigma, Lean, Transactional Lean or Root Cause Analysis
Preferred Qualifications:
  • A Bachelor's Degree in Engineering
  • An Advanced Degree such as a Master of Science or Master of Business Administration
  • Experience in a manufacturing or distribution environment
