Job Summary
The Process Engineering Manager needs a demonstrated track record of leadership, problem solving, and analytical data driven decision making in a manufacturing environment. This role will collaborate with other organizational stakeholders including Production, Maintenance, Mechanical Engineering, Marketing, Supply Chain, and Innovations.

Job Description
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, including the ability to express ideas concisely and clearly, cross-functionally, and at all levels within the company
  • Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills with the ability to train as well as lead
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships at all levels
  • Insures continuous improvement in process, cost, quality, production, and safety
  • Oversees the development and maintenance of operating procedures and other documentation to support manufacturing
  • Responsible for effectively determining, monitoring, and communicating operational capacities, efficiencies, and bottlenecks
  • Teams with management, engineers, and other stakeholders to create and manage process improvement strategies for facility
  • Lead or assist in troubleshooting items in the manufacturing process

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years Engineering experience
  • Minimum of 5 years supervisory experience
  • Project Management capabilities are an asset
  • Experience with rubber or polyolefin compounding is a strong advantage

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to work in a team environment and communicate well with personnel from multiple departments and disciplines
  • Strong understanding of data analytics
  • Ability to read mechanical and electrical drawings/schematics, and material specifications
  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office
  • Familiarity with ERP systems, BI software, and other enterprise packages
  • Ability to work in a dynamic environment, requiring the development and maintenance of controlled, scalable processes

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • ascending or descending ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, poles and the like;

  • communicating with others to exchange information.

  • moving about to accomplish tasks or moving from one worksite to another;
  • adjusting or moving objects up to 50 pounds in all directions;
  • repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers;
  • operating machinery and/or power tools, depending on position;
  • depending on position may include operating motor vehicles or heavy equipment;
  • assessing the accuracy, neatness and thoroughness of the work assigned.

Environmental Conditions may occasionally include:

  • low or high temperatures; or outdoor elements such as precipitation and wind.

Environmental Conditions may constantly include:

  • noisy environments;
