SUMMARY: The primary responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, processing redemption cassettes and Video Gaming Terminal (“VGT”) cash cans, recording transactions and verifying inventory, preparing cassettes and VGT cash cans for the route technicians, as well as assisting in other areas as needed.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Prepare and process lockbox cash receipts
• Process and verify currency counts
• Data entry of cash receipts including coding and filing
• Research unidentified cash receipts
• Daily/Monthly bank and cash reconciliations
• Weekly cash forecasting
• Communication with customers, field and other departments
• Managing the timely and accurate processing of cash collections
• Processing and vault accountability
• Counting currency
• Separating or segregating currency
• Packaging/unpackaging currency
• Strapping/unstrapping
• Sealing/unsealing bags
• Maintaining inventory counts and levels
• Processing coins
• Performs basic accounting and counting skills
• Records all vault transactions on the computer
• Assists with other duties and projects as assigned
• Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:

• High school diploma or equivalent, one to three years related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Previous bank, casino or financial industry teller experience preferred
• Previous cash handling experience
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Excel
• Ability to prepare reports and business correspondence
• Demonstrated ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, and percentages
• Commitment to excellence and high standards
• Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions
• Ability to work independently and as a member of various teams and committees
• Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm
• Minimum of 21 years of age
• Ability to obtain and/or maintain a Terminal Handler’s License from the Illinois Gaming Board

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:

• Specific vision abilities required for this job include close vision, depth, and ability to adjust or focus
• Utilize visual acuity to operate equipment, read technical information, and/or use a keyboard or calculator
• Exposure to moving mechanical parts
• Exposure to high, precarious places
• The noise level in the work environment usually is moderate or loud
