Procurement Administrator (Entry-Level/2-days in office/3-days remote) Job at ProTrans International
About the Job:
Our Account Procurement Administrator will be responsible for clerical and administrative support for the Procurement Team.
Location: Corporate (Indianapolis, IN)
Shift: Monday—Friday (8am--5pm) (Hybrid: 2-days in office/3-days from home)
What You’ll Be Doing:
In this role you will perform functions including:
- Creates award letters, update rate addendums and schedules implementation calls;
- Support with weekly Procurement Bid process and all follow-up coordination as needed;
- Process ECRs with the same follow-up procedures as the weekly bid;
- Assist Contract Coordinator with management of carrier contracts and customer service agreements;
- Initiate, track and maintain the CNCR database and CNCRs sent to carriers for feedback;
- Assist with keeping carrier contracts and industry certifications current and in order;
- Keep inventory logs current for all company owned equipment trailers and forklifts;
- Responsible for data input, tracking, and reporting of key performance measures, including carrier scorecards;
- Support Claims team with cargo claims and creation of claims files;
- Maintain a safe work environment;
- Additional clerical task as assigned by Procurement Manager.
What We’re Looking For:
- High school diploma or GED;
- Experience in customer service, procurement, or any related field is preferred;
- Basic understanding of basic mathematics and/or finance;
- Automotive logistics experience preferred, but not required.
- Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Access, etc.).

- Excellent communication and follow up skills;
- Positive attitude and ability to multi-task;
- Ability to adapt quickly to changes in scope or direction and be flexible in adopting changes quickly;
- Must be a team player who enjoys working in a collaborative work environment.
- Ability to work in the gray area of third party logistics.
