has an exciting opportunity for a Procurement Lead Field Labor North America & LATAM based in Johnston, Iowa.

You will be responsible to manage the field labor strategy at Corteva in NA / LATAM, benchmarking best practices among the region and creating solid relations with vendors to allow us have enough employees in all our field operations. This position is key to develop modern hiring labor practices among our industry as well as guarantee we are fulfilling with all labor regulations where we operate.

Responsibilities:

  • Understand Seeds business labor needs & lead the development and execution of the NA & LATAM labor strategy in collaboration with regional cross-functional partners.
  • Champion Labor Strategy within team and with organizational leaders. Influence and represent labor at different levels in the organization.
  • Create long term strategies with suppliers to assure provide Corteva with the quantity / quality of labor required when is needed with the best possible commercial conditions.
  • Leadership of labor team through talent development, instilling trust, driving engagement, and building positive culture.
  • Own labor projects and support sites for seasonal launches.
  • Partner with global stakeholders to improve labor work processes and tools to be seamless and flawless in execution and aligned with other function work.
  • Partner with legal, HR and other areas to assure Corteva fulfill or exceeds labor regulations / guidelines required.
  • Advance labor innovation strategies that enhance our customer experience.
  • Benchmark Corteva labor practices among industry and bring best practices for our SPSC operation.
  • Acts as the primary liaison representing the purchasing organization and the processes and workings within it by interfacing with it Seeds personnel to advise them how the processes function within it.

Qualifications


Requirements:

What expertise have you grown? What do you bring to the table?

  • BS/BA degree required; Supply Chain, Economics, Finance, or Business preferred.
  • 2-4 years of experience. Leadership experiences to include people, project, and organization leadership with strong interpersonal and communication skills to lead direct reports, team, and cross functional interactions.
  • Spanish / Portuguese is a Plus
  • Self-starter and ability to energize a team
  • Able to make critical decisions and gain team buy-in
  • Possesses interpersonal and communication skills to negotiate and reconcile differences
  • Demonstrated technical and organizational problem-solving skills
  • General knowledge of OSHA or related safety and occupational health standards or codes
  • Certifications in disciplines such as Procurement (SCMP/CPSM), Inventory Management (CIPS), Lean / Six Sigma, or Operational Planning is a Plus.
  • Agricultural industry background desirable.
