The Product Analyst plays a dynamic role responsible for supporting the Product Manager. The Product Analyst performs various product functions such as business process and root cause analysis, product support, and assists with backlog grooming and management. The Product Analyst serves as the team’s source for business logic, requirements, process analysis and testing.

Intermediate Level:
- Ensures product vision, set by the Product Manager, is maintained and expressed in the backlog
- Helps maintain the backlog, writing user stories and assists with business case creation
- Performs process analysis, process mapping, and root cause analysis to obtain clarity around business needs and challenges.
- Performs in sprint testing on user stories meeting the team defined ‘Definition of Done’ (DoD) each sprint
- Partners with Design to advocate the voice of the customer to realize a product that will represent and speak to actual user needs and frequently tests the product with customers
- Reviews support tickets and user feedback for preliminary backlog prioritization
- Prepares Sprint Demos
- In conjunction with Product Manager, develops and maintains a dynamic product roadmap, frequently communicating decisions to stakeholders
- Stays in sync with the Product Manager on priorities and day to day execution
- Supports release planning for production ready customer features.
- Facilitates meetings with Business, Design, Dev Team, and other events as needed.
- Assists in setting, gathering, and tracking product performance metrics.
- May be assigned an Electric Utilities emergency and storm role. This is a special assignment that comes into play during storms and other emergencies when the company needs to restore power or respond to other issues affecting customer service. This role may necessitate the need to work after-hours, outside of your normal schedule.
- The company reserves the right to determine if this position will be assigned to work on-site, remotely, or a combination of both. Assigned work location may change. In the case of remote work, physical presence in the office/on-site may be required to engage in face-to-face interaction and coordination of work among direct reports and co-workers.
Senior Level
- Ensures product vision, set by the Product Manager, is maintained and expressed in the backlog
- Supports building the backlog, writing user stories and associated Acceptance Criteria, that will realize the product vision, may be fully accountable for subset of product or product family.
- Performs process analysis, process mapping, and root cause analysis to obtain clarity around business needs and challenges.
- Maintains a well groomed and prioritized backlog, partnering with the Scrum Master to ensure stories meet the ‘Definition of Ready’ (DoR)
- Supports critical backlog priority decisions, leading with value but weighing feasibility and dependency factors
- Preforms in sprint testing on user stories meeting the team defined ‘Definition of Done’ (DoD) each sprint
- Partners with Design to advocate the voice of the customer to realize a product that will represent and speak to actual user needs and frequently tests the product with customers
- Incorporates and prioritizes user feedback in the backlog
- Drive sprint and release plans together with the Scrum Master, tech lead and the team
- Prepares and sometimes leads Sprint Demos
- In conjunction with Product Manager, develops and maintains a dynamic product roadmap, frequently communicating decisions to stakeholders
- Stays in sync with the Product Manager on priorities and day to day execution
