We are looking for a Product Development Assistant to join our growing team at JONATHAN Y DESIGNS. The ideal candidate will partner closely with the Operations, Sales and Creative team to ensure that all product development processes are executed in accordance to the company’s directives, deadlines and gross margin objectives

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Interpret, collaborate and coordinate with internal teams on product development
• Communicate with overseas partners in the development and sampling process for new products
• Create and update spec sheets / product line sheets
• Ensure accuracy of the product line sheets
• Track and manage product samples, including checking in, maintaining sample storage and scheduling approval meetings with manager
• Communicate with overseas partners to maintain up to date information for current product changes
• Serve as point of contact for communication with vendors in regards to any sample developments and production scheduling.
• Collaborate with the in-house photography department to manage the products library and images
• Provide support to the Creative team by reviewing if product images are accurate and make any photo retouching updates when necessary
• Coordinate sample arrangements with the warehouse and photo studio department to ensure all products are cataloged in a timely manner.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Merchandising, Business, Communications, Textiles or Product Development preferred
• Proficient Microsoft Office and Excel; ((vLookups, Pivot Tables, Dynamic Formulation, Sorting, Charts)
• Good understanding with home decor, fashion, materials, color, product development and production process in this industry
• Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Detail-oriented, focused, inquisitive and meticulous

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $45,000.00 per year
