Production Assistant

Reports to: Production Manager

Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00AM to 5:00PM

SUMMARY

The Production Assistant is responsible for Production rosters/schedules, headcount, attendance and communication with internal hiring managers and external staffing vendors.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Update, manage, and verify the validity of Production roster headcount
• Daily attendance tracking and report
• Update schedule to reflect recent status and share relevant information through Excel spreadsheet using well-executed formulas in a timely manner
• Communicate and coordinate with Human Resources, Production, and Staffing Agencies in a timely manner to maintain staffing requirements
• Analyze absences and turnover trends to make appropriate countermeasure recommendations
• Resolve any issues and concerns with Production employees on the floor
• Adhere to the policies and procedures of Hanwha Q CELLS
• Manage material inventory and submit necessary production order and purchases
• Communicate with Purchasing Team and Finance Team to manage Production budget/purchases
• Assist with monthly inventory process every 1st of the month
• Verify the date of the purchases, shipments, and invoices to ensure complete closing of the current month budget
• Perform other duties and special projects, as assigned by management
• Assist in employee training and handling

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Minimum 2 years of manufacturing experience
• Must be able to perform the essential functions and have advanced Excel experience
• Candidates must have a satisfactory work record without attendance or performance related job disqualifications
• Must have experience troubleshooting day-to-day product issues and the ability to correct them via adjustments, layout, or procedural changes
• Must possess strong leadership skills, a positive attitude, and ability to treat all team members with respect

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience in solar panels industry
• Bilingual (Spanish)

PHYSICAL QUALIFICATIONS

• Lifting up to 30lbs
• Walking and standing for 50% of work shift
