National Chemical Laboratories, a Major Manufacturer of Cleaning and Hygiene Products for the industrial/ institutional market seeks a Production Data Entry Clerk to assist the Production Management team with the planning of the short-term packaging and blending requirements for production operation.

Position Summary:
We are a single shift, mixed mode manufacturing operation, meaning that the packaging and processing departments are planned independently but requires close coordination. The Production Data Entry Clerk works closely with the Production Management team for the scheduling, planning and production processing of packaging, which may involve many liquid product changeovers. There are several workstations within a work group.
This position has strong interaction with this planning process, which involves the scheduling and prioritizing of the blending of liquids to fill dedicated storage tanks, to avoid liquid stock outs, and schedule specialty liquids to avoid conflict with temporary storage vessels. Process requires scheduling multiple blending vessels.
Knowledge of computerized MRP systems, production, and supply chain experience with proven ability to lead, train in a diverse workplace and improve methods in an effort to meet production and quality goals.
Duties and responsibilities include:
· Assists with the development of the daily packaging production schedules for the production lines, based on constraints of time, labor and material management to satisfy customer requirements and maintain stock level as specified by the Master Schedule target inventory levels.
· Assists with the development of the daily liquid process schedule required to satisfy packaging schedule and complement desired dedicated liquid storage tank inventory levels.
· Develop new shop order Routings and evaluate current routings.
· Print and distribute individual shop orders to appropriate first sequence work center. Attach labels and / or additional literature to shop orders if required.
· Print and distribute work center (schedule) detail reports for the Production team.
· In coordination with the Production and Processing Manager, monitors above schedules for completion and/or shop floor variations in order to keep products required on-time for shipments.
· Participates in a daily production meeting involving the Production Manager, Packaging Production Supervisor, Production Line Leaders, and Plant Manager.
· Keep the Plant Manager advised of schedule progression, and constraints which would prevent on-time shipments.
Education Requirements and Skills:
An equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
Successful candidate should possess strong leadership, analytical, organizational, and interpersonal skills. Candidate must have good written and verbal communication skills and strict attention to detail. Candidate must also possess a high level of computer proficiency (PC) with a strong working knowledge of MS Windows/MS Office Products, excellent data entry skills, as well as scheduling/inventory control programs through a MRP (Material Requirement Planning) computer system.
