Production Team Leader Job Available in Berkshire County

Salary: $22/hr - $24/hr, Temp to Hire

Schedule: Mon-Thurs: 6a – 4:30p

Location: Dalton, MA

TEC is helping a local manufacturer find a Production Team Leader. This person is to provide direction and coordinate work for the team to accomplish. This position is accountable for ensuring that production scheduled for completion is executed in a timely manner and within all quality procedures.

Job duties:

• Lead a varied number of employees as determined by work load
• Oversee day-to-day operation of Composite Armor and Shield production and provide direction to the team in their daily tasks
• Actively perform and direct work of the team to produce the required product
• Control & regulate the workflow in the plant to carry out production schedules and meet on-time delivery commitments to promote total customer satisfaction.
• Represent department within meetings, committees and teams as required
• Train all departmental employees
• Plan, assign and direct work
• Maintain raw material inventory control
• Inspect products to very conformance to specifications
• Maintain a safe, organized, and clean work environment
• Perform cycle counts to maintain accurate inventory levels
• Additional responsibilities as assigned

Requirements:

• Five plus years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
• High school diploma, GED or equivalent work experience
• Must be able to pass a drug screen and background check
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
• Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees
• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions
• Energetic and willing to work in a team environment
• Able to design and implement process improvements
• Must be a swift learner and an excellent coach to train their teammates and so would be expected to have excellent problem solving skills to effectively handle the challenges and problems in the production department

Pay: $22.00 - $24.00 per hour
