Role Value Proposition

Demand Management aligns application demand with business needs by using technological innovations to create an optimized customer experience. The team collaborates with stakeholders to plan, budget, and ultimately deliver capacity based on enterprise constraints. Demand Management bridges the gap between application and enterprise infrastructure teams by managing end to end demand processes. Demand Management provides a single point of contact for the application teams saving time and effort by utilizing a subject matter expert.

Key Responsibilities

• Delivers capacity to applications in support of BAU and project growth to maintain application stability and enable on-time delivery of AD-driven projects.
• Advises Application Development Project Managers of information to support prioritization of work to meet SLA commitments.
• Validates US Retail, CORP, or Digital capacity requests meet financial and enterprise standards.
• Communicates problems and provides resolutions to AD requestors and other internal partners. Escalates issues as required.
• Leverages technical and/or business knowledge of multiple areas (technical, business, applications, etc.) in support of demand management activities
• Advises Application Development Product Managers on hardware enhancements to maximize operational efficiency and ensure application stability.

Essential Business Experience and Technical Skills

Required:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, Engineering or other related field, or equivalent demonstrated work experience.
• 1-2 years Demand Management Support experience, or comparable business and technical experience.
• Ability to understand each application’s overall technical architecture.
• Understand the following Platforms: Cloud (CaaS, IaaS, PaaS, SaaS), AIX power frames, and Power VC.
• Work with Project leads to maintain capacity plans, identify obstacles and provide solutions to keep project on track.
• Experience with Microsoft Suite of Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio or other workflow/routing design tools).
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with attention to detail, as well as professionalism and time/task management skills; ability to establish strong working relationships.
• Ability to collaborate in a fast-paced and dynamic environment to achieve a shared goal

Preferred:

• Experience working in customer facing applications.
• Experience with the following tools: APPTIO, APTARE, CPM. EAI, PAR, ServiceNow
• Knowledge of container and orchestration technologies like AKS (Azure Kubernetes Service).
• Knowledge of storage technologies.
• Knowledge of SAFe framework.
• Experience in working with global teams (offshore and on shore).
