Job Summary
The Indiana Production Facility (IPF) is Acuity Brands’ largest assembly manufacturing site in the USA. The facility is located about 45 minutes west of Indianapolis in the small town of Crawfordsville, Indiana, in the middle of Montgomery County. Love the outdoors as much as we do? Then you’ll enjoy the surrounding parks including Turkey Run and Shades State Parks or rent canoes at Clements Canoes Outdoor Center. These scenic locations are perfect for boating, fishing, hiking, camping, and picnicking. You can also visit a local sporting event at Wabash College or make the short 30-minute drive to DePauw or Purdue Universities.
Key Tasks & Responsibilities (Essential Functions)
Seeking a well-rounded P&L manager with the strong desire to assume complete ownership to drive change in this key business unit. You will be responsible for coordinating all functions of a Focus Factory. Responsible for coordinating all functions of a focused factory (New Product Introduction, EQDCI, In-sourcing, Customer Satisfaction, Employee Satisfaction, Employee Performance, Supply Chain Performance). Responsible for partnering with Value Stream Leader to drive profitable growth for Value Stream. Generally supports a large Focus Factory or Focus Factory with high volume and low mix.

Experience (minimum experience required)
- Enterprise Risk - responsible for safety and environmental issues for the focused factory.
- Quality - responsible for quality in three phases: incoming supplier quality, internal quality (manufacturing processes), external quality (customer satisfaction/quality finished goods products).
- Delivery - responsible for 95% or greater target compliance while reducing lead times to customers.
- Cost - responsible for continuous improvement in the value stream to drive month over month cost improvement/reduction.
- Lean Process leader - responsible to use and mentor others on the Acuity Business Systems tools for use in continuous improvement (Kanban, SW, 5S, SMED, TPM, etc.).
- Innovation - continuously drive to develop new and innovative ways to improve our processes.
- New Product Introductions
Qualified Applicants will have:
- 6 to 8 years in a manufacturing or production environment, preferably high volume.
- Experience with P&L preferred
- Previous supervisory experience leading a diverse team of salaried professional and hourly operators.
- Proven leadership skills and accomplishments developing a team.
- Management skills (people and projects).
- Experience in problem solving, communication and conflict resolution.
- Experience with Lean principles and exposure to Kaizen and continuous improvement events is helpful.
- High degree of comfort with computer usage, and ability to analyze and present data.
- Highschool diploma, Bachelors preferred
