Production Tech – Secondary Machine Operator

JOB OUTLINE

The Secondary Machine Operator will be responsible for operating secondary spring machines such as kick press, hydraulic press, pneumatic press, unibender, and others. They will also carry out assembly work. The first shift is from 5:25am - 2:05 pm Monday-Friday, and the second shift is from 1:50 pm – 12:25am Monday-Thursday.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

• Keep an eye on machine operations and halt them if a problem arises.
• Inspect and measure work pieces to make certain that they meet specifications.
• Remove finished pieces from machines and set aside defective pieces.
• Have the ability to read and complete work orders.
• Perform any other tasks as requested.

SKILLS and ABILITIES

• Capacity to grip, manipulate, and assemble objects.
• Physical ability to lift up to 30 lbs.
• Capability of following verbal instructions.
• Join in a team atmosphere to resolve problems.
• Capacity to work independently on primary responsibilities.
• Knowledge of or capacity to learn the use of calipers, micrometers, and load test equipment.

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
