Production line supervisor is responsible for supervising production line employees and ensuring the set-up and operation of equipment on the beverage production line results in meeting production goals. Shift supervisor must verify and ensure all products produced are at the highest quality with the correct packaging materials (bottles, caps, labels, case and film wrap).

Responsibilities

• Directs workflow of the department by assigning responsibilities to ensure on-time production and/or delivery
• Motivates employees by communicating in a positive and respectful manner
• Maintains quality standards
• Maintains high employee morale and positive relationships
• Teaches safe work practices, good housekeeping procedures and ensures that these are adhered to
• Identifies issues in efficiency and suggests improvements in methods, equipment, handling, or layout
• Ensures that the required production reports are accurate
• Communicates frequently with office personnel to give and/or receive information related to areas of responsibility
• Monitors personnel for adherence to food quality programs and procedures
• Evaluates plant GMP and sanitation standards and programs continually by reviewing facility inspection reports and follow-up actions.
• Implements and complies with GMP and safety rules and procedures
• Performs GMP inspections
• Ensures that HACCP, GMP, and FDA standards are achieved and completed
• Supports the QA staff by assisting in troubleshooting and resolving issues that may impact product safety or quality and by interacting with regulatory agencies
• Measures and manages productivity in the department to identify areas for improvement
• Effectively allocates production labor as needed on a daily basis to improve productivity
• Manages production line schedules and processes to minimize overtime

Skills and Requirements

• At least 5 years proven experience in food manufacturing
• At least 2 years proven experience as Production Supervisor or similar role
• Organizational and leadership abilities
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Self-motivated with a results-driven approach
• Excellent problem-solving skills

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $22.00 - $28.00 per hour
