Program Director Job at Formidable
Program Director
Join us to lead the rollout of a powerful virtual tool that catalyzes courageous climate conversations and mobilizes people to act.
About “The Week”
To solve the climate crisis, we need mass mobilization- millions of people who transform their workplace and communities from within and who join together to consume differently and to create political pressure that affects change.
The classic playbook “Give people the facts and they will wake up and act” has failed to achieve mass mobilization. The Week offers a powerful playbook, deeply informed by recent insights on the psychology of climate change and by research on past movements that successfully broke through the status quo.
The heart of The Week is a 3-session experience over the course of one week (hence the name) in a small group–coworkers, friends, family, schoolmates, or worshippers. During each session, the group watches an episode of a powerful documentary together, carefully scripted to unlock emotional reckoning and spark vulnerable and profound group conversation (for which we provide extensive guides).
Our goal is to ignite the "broad middle” - the majority who are aware, concerned, and maybe even alarmed, but they are not yet engaged, because they don't know how or what to do.
