**2 positions available: 1 will focus on Technical work and the other on Project Management. Prefer Electrical / Mechanical Engineer or Architect for Technical role; Prefer Project Engineer and/or Financial Controls Engineer for Project Management role.

JOB SUMMARY: Leads Sustainability Technical functions, providing subject matter expertise to determine feasibility and analyze payback period for projects to achieve the corporate sustainability initiatives. Drives projects related to energy reduction, electrification, solar, and waste diversion. Lead a team that will gather real-time and calculated data to prioritize sustainability efforts and validate results utilizing recorded data. Responsible for capital cash flow reporting for Sustainability Program. Drives efficiencies and effectively coordinates budget, scope, schedule, expectations with planned work, tech services, and creative partners.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Defines and validates requests for Sustainability Capital Funding. Collects requests, validates carbon reduction, prepares estimates, and prioritizes efforts Prepare Capital project presentation and present to the Upper Leadership in conjunction with the Assistant Director and the Senior Director.
  • Validates carbon reduction for the Sustainability Program and executes the fiscal year’s Capital Program.
  • Identifies future opportunities to establish long range strategic, multi-year programs Capital Programs to achieve corporate sustainability goals.
  • Partners with technical partners to create detailed plans for the preparation of Construction Documents. These documents include but are not limited to Construction Drawings (CD), Construction Specifications, Scopes of Work, and General Conditions.
  • Completes bidding & awarding of Construction Documents. This includes but is not limited to developing a bidders list and preparing a Request for Procurement (RFP). The RFP includes instructions for the bid, bid response forms, Construction Agreement, General Conditions, Scope of Work, Drawings, Wage and Equipment Rates, Schedule of Unit Prices, Payment and Performance Bonds, General Requirements, Environmental Health & Safety Requirements, Specifications, Questions and Answers, and Addendums.
  • Provides technical expertise for design and construction of projects in the Sustainability Program.
  • Understands and actively participates in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy, procedures, training and team member involvement activities.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION: Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Architecture, or similar field required.

EXPERIENCE: 7+ years’ experience working in theme park and resort projects; also experience dealing with design and implementation of sustainability projects. Professional Engineer or Registered Architect preferred.
