What you'll do...

H&R Block is looking for a highly passionate, talented, and aspiring professional to fill a key position as Program Manager, Consumer Tax Products. The Consumer Tax Products and Partners team is responsible for developing existing key partner relationships, identifying new commercial opportunities across our global consumer tax business as well as establishing the relationships needed to bring those opportunities to life.

The ideal candidate for this role will have 7+ years of experience in business development, a track record of influencing change within large organizations, and the ability to synthesize and execute against complex problems and aggressive timelines. The candidate will have a demonstrated track record of developing strong partnerships, both externally and internally. The candidate will be a thought leader that assesses industry trends and will work cross-functionally with teams to develop new commercial opportunities, improve customer experiences, and optimize engagement with our partners and clients. The candidate will ensure that program goals are accomplished and in line with business objectives, manage program budgets and uncover opportunities to innovate around partnerships for the enterprise.

  • Establish meaningful relationships with key partners to influence opportunities and outcomes. Build strong relationships with key GCT ecosystem stakeholders and cross-functional teams including product, engineering, design, marketing, legal, compliance
  • Drive negotiations with new and existing partners, optimizing for achieving shared outcomes in close collaboration with cross functional team members
  • Oversee each step of the business development lifecycle: Strategy/planning, pipeline development, prospecting, outreach, terms negotiation, contract drafting, and implementation
  • Shepherd all completed partnerships through a successful integration, including internal and external coordination, operations, product, and engineering prioritization
  • Track, analyze and communicate regular updates to leadership
  • Manage the business outcomes and project budget, putting in place financial disciplines and ensuring their execution to meet or beat KPIs.
  • Ensure completion of program deliverables. Ensure projects that are part of the program are delivered on time and on budget with superior quality.
  • Oversee teams of individuals from cross functional teams, as well as vendors to accomplish project/program outcomes.
  • Ensure compliance with corporate project management office, using appropriate project management tools, processes, and procedures.
  • Monitor and mitigate project/ program risks.

What you'll bring to the team...

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or the equivalent through a combination of education and related work experience.
  • 7+ years of strategy, business development and partnerships experience Program management experience leading large programs that involve significant business change.
  • Experience leading large teams in a matrix management environment.
  • Highly organized individual capable of simultaneously managing relationships and executing agreements across multiple partners
  • Highly motivated, self-directed individual who thrives in a fast-paced team environment
  • Knowledge of business case development including cost/benefit analysis, NPV, current and future state assessments.
  • Proven collaboration and relationship-building experience — with the experience developing working relationships at all levels of management, both internal and external
  • Demonstrated track record of establishing priorities and meeting deadlines.
  • Advanced oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills. Strong presentation and facilitation skills to communicate with and persuade a wide range of audiences.
  • Strong supervisory and matrix management skills and ability to oversee tasks delegated to others.

It would be even better if you also had...

  • MBA: Interest in PMP certification or equivalent or completed work towards PMP certification or equivalent
  • Experience in Big 4 consulting environment.
  • Tax or financial background.
  • At least 3 years of experience with short-term and long-range strategic planning
