MHC has a full-time (Monday - Friday; 9:00 am - 5:00 pm, with flexibility as needed for program needs) opening for a Program Manager within the Danbury area. The Program Manager is responsible for overseeing the administration of the assigned program (s). Provide leadership, supervision, guidance, and support to program staff as well as residents. The Program Manager is responsible for communication of all policies and procedures, and on-call availability.
Salary: $1,800.00 biweekly. MHC offers a competitive benefits package which includes:

Essential Responsibilities:
- Manage administrative processes and requirements in consultation with the Director of Programs.
- Develop and maintain schedule of staff across the program to ensure program coverage.
- Accurately monitor program budgets.
- Determine staffing requirements, screen potential new hire candidates, conduct interviews, and participate in the selection process.
- Hire and plan an effective orientation for new employees.
- Regularly supervise direct reporting staff, develop staff to maximize potential, monitor staff performance including performance reviews.
- Approve time off requests, weekly time cards and program expense allocations.
- Assure high quality of supports within programs.
- Assist individuals with obtaining all services and entitlements for which they qualify, to include, housing, insurance benefits.
- Maintain good communication and relationships with outside agencies.
- Complete investigations and reviews as requested.
- Develop and monitor creative and interesting community centered opportunities for all individuals.
- Available on-call or in-person for consultation in emergencies, regarding imperative concerns, or for coverage needs.
- Complete necessary operational reports.
- Monitor all staff training, including core trainings, development trainings and program specific trainings.
- Must be able to travel between programs, office, trainings, and department meetings.
- Perform interventions in the event of a crisis.
- Complete projects correctly and on time, exhibit sound and accurate judgment; ability to support and explain reasoning for decisions.
- Demonstrated ability to organize and prioritize; use time efficiently; plan for additional resources; develop realistic action plans.
- Ensure that clients are treated with dignity and respect in accordance with MHC policy.
- Willing and able to drive a personal vehicle locally and within the state. May be required to transport individuals in personal vehicle.
Experience/Education:
- Master’s Degree in social science/related field preferred, or Bachelor's degree in social science/related field and three years of experience required.
- Experience with administrative functions including supervision of staff, hiring, development and evaluation required.
- Familiarity with Connecticut state human service systems and related treatment requirements and mandates.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
- Valid CT driver's license and auto registration and insurance.
