Job Summary:
The Program Operations Manager (POM) will collaborate with the Program Management office and be the liaison to the Strategic Make Centers (SMCs) ensuring that all program needs are integrated and supported to meet program commitments. This individual will support early engineering development based on a current production missile system. The ideal candidate will: lead all operations related to Production Readiness efforts, possess the demonstrated skills and experience necessary to provide operations leadership across the program planning cycle including proposals, development, production, and sustainment activities and demonstrate strong leadership communication skills with the ability to influence and lead in areas of contract compliance, customer engagement, and source selection support. This position will require knowledge of transition to production efforts while managing risks and opportunities. Production and manufacturing readiness experience is highly preferred. Candidate must be capable of working beyond the typical 40-hour work week with domestic/international travel as required.

Responsibilities to Anticipate:
- Lead, collaborate and influence quality and performance for program deliverables, accountable for factory integration, consolidated program performance, and unique program requirements flow down.
- Participate in strategic Program/Operations planning for current development and future production efforts.
- Support Operational Security (OPSEC) plan(s) execution and influence future security strategies.
- Communicate across programs, to identify, assess, collaborate, and resolve any conflicts with program requirements.
- Define clear operational schedules, priorities and goals for each Strategic Make Center including executing developmental assembly builds.
- Coordinate and develop operations requirements for all gate reviews and execute proposed strategies.
- Ownership of the Program’s Operations EAC and budget
- Prepare and present information for Monthly Management Reviews
- Plan and execute operations work scope for development including transition to production.
- Engage with engineering teams in development of new hardware configurations.
- Support material procurement, supplier production transition, and test equipment development efforts
- Create BOEs and support proposals.
- Engage customer team in program execution.
- Lead Operations portion of Production Readiness Reviews (PRRs)
- Maintain Operations work scope and updates on the IMS to include processing BCRs.
- Review all engineering changes/updates, attend ERB/CCB
- Attend FIT’s and FRACAS (production only)
- Maintain build plan and track Operations contract items and due dates.
- MSALT (Master Schedule updates)
Qualifications You Must Have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and eight (8) years of prior manufacturing experience OR an advanced degree and five (5) years of manufacturing experience.
- Experience in Earned Value Management System
- Experience with Proposals/Estimating/Basis of Estimates (BOEs)
- Experience with Risk and Opportunities Management
- Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
