Responsibilities
Overview: This is a full-time position located in the International Programs Passport Office. The Immigration Coordinator will serve as the primary passport agent, executing applications for the general public. In addition, this position will work with a team who are responsible for the immigration (passport, entry requirements, and visas) of study abroad participants.
The Immigration Coordinator position will operate as the primary passport agent as most of their time will be spent accepting passport applicants. The Immigration Coordinator will be trained through the US Department of State (DOS) to follow DOS policies and procedures to execute passport applications and advise on the process. As such, this position is very customer service based. The Immigration Coordinator will be responsible for some office duties, which may include tracking packages, inventory, etc.
Passport applications must be taken to the post office and, therefore, requires this position to have reliable transportation/valid driver’s license.
In addition, this position will assist with advising and counseling International Programs participants on the immigration process by working with consulates, third-party services, and overseas staff. Responsibilities include the secure handling of passports and other sensitive documents and ensuring immigration compliance for students, faculty, and staff.
The Immigration Coordinator will assist in the International Programs recruitment efforts, such as tabling events or open house hours.
Prior passport or immigration experience is not required.
Please note: The U.S. Department of State requires all U.S. passport agents to be current US citizens and provide US citizenship evidence (US Birth Certificate, Naturalization Certificate, US Passport, Consular Report of Birth Abroad, etc.) to meet eligibility. Once hired, the passport manager will be required to complete the US Passport Agent Training successfully.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree; or a high school diploma and four years of professional experience.
(Note: a combination of post high school education and experience equal to four years.)

Anticipated Salary Range
Anticipated Salary Range: $36,060 - 40,000 commensurate with experience and education.
