Lane Office, a leading New York based office furniture dealer and interior sub-contractor firm seeks a Project Administrator. The successful candidate will join a fast paced and dynamic team and work cross functionally with internal partners and management to ensure deliverables fall within the applicable scope and budget, and will be part of a collaborative culture.
Provide day-to-day support to the project management department and sales representatives by fielding questions, troubleshooting issues, and modeling best practices. Work closely with management to foster ongoing process development and improvement

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:
- Create client proposals to include new customer set up, entry/import of specifications, and pricing
- Generate purchase orders upon receipt of complete order entry packet
- Ensure orders are entered promptly and reviewed for accuracy and completeness before being sent to the manufacturers/vendors
- Work with vendors and internal project teams to reconcile acknowledgment discrepancies and manage timely ship dates based on project requirements
- Create and publish customer status reports
- Coordinate delivery/install dates with vendors, Operations, clients, and Project Managers (depending on work scope)
- Assist with project management tasks, including spec checks and punch ID/resolution
- Participate in vendor and dealer training programs and activities for ongoing professional growth and development
- Assist in developing project agenda and schedule, and be an active participant in team meetings on all milestone goals for assigned project(s)
REQUIREMENTS:
- Prior experience successfully managing multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced work environment
- Excellent and effective oral and written communication
- Strong organizational, analytical, and administrative skills
- Ability to see the big picture and integrate it into day-to-day tasks and activities
- Understanding of the complexities and sophistication required to thrive in the dealer environment
- Attend and participate in team meetings and all project meetings
- Be detail-oriented, organized, and have a ‘will do’ attitude
- Demonstrate an understanding of team member responsibilities and be willing to ‘jump in’ when needed
- Respond to, and be available, for all client requests
- Furniture industry experience preferred
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Proactive and professional work ethic
- Strong Microsoft Office Skills
- CORE and CAP skills are a plus
