PROJECT ENGINEER POSITION SUMMARY

Acme Enterprises is looking for a Project Engineer to successful and profitably run projects as required by client’s documentation. S/he will be responsible for providing buy down and contract writing for procured projects. S/he will need to evaluate bid specifications and drawings to ensure the organization is fully aware of the necessary tools required to successfully run and complete projects. The Project Engineer will work to obtain strong relationships with the subcontractors and ensure they are completing their work to budget and on schedule. The ideal candidate will have construction expertise, good project management skills and attention to detail on their work product. The Project Engineer will drive the implementation of company standards and procedures for providing accurate and effectively ran projects while working alongside the Project Managers.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• •Understand and fully read the scope of the projects assigned to you.
• •Complete buy down of all subcontractors under the allotted budget and hold the numbers throughout the completion of the project.
• •Follow project schedule to ensure timely and accurate completion of project.
• •Review construction documents and develop an understanding to transition the scope of work to a bid.
• •Research construction documents along with subcontractor bids to determine costs.
• •Build and maintain positive relationships with subcontractors.
• Participate in Pre-Con meetings when the job is handed off as well as completing Stand & Delivers before the project begins.
• Follow up on bids from subcontractors through Building Connected, previous connections, emails, and phone calls.
• Visit the job site at least once a month or as needed to ensure the project is on track.
• Build successful relationships with the Superintendents assigned to the projects to make sure both sides are driving to a successful completion.
• Analyze alternate means and methods to determine value engineering alternatives.Develop and maintain relationships with clients and customers.
• Actively seek out new subcontractors and suppliers in all geographic areas.
• Attend pre-con on-site meetings, if applicable.
• Participate in weekly L10 Project Management meetings to review previous bids and discuss upcoming bids.
• Prepare for, be proactive and thorough on all weekly project updates with the clients.Travel to locations of project sites when necessary.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Contract, Temporary, Internship

Pay: $45,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
