The Project Engineer helps to develop other field team members, and provides detailed documentation in order to provide our clients with quality service. He/she plays a major role in the overall coordination of our dynamic construction projects.

  • Maintain a clean, orderly jobsite and understand 5s.
  • Enforce Drug, Alcohol and Harassment policies in areas of assigned responsibility.
  • Enforce jobsite safety procedures to comply with OSHA regulations and R&M Safety Program.
  • As required, maintain daily logs to document all jobsite activities and events.
  • Responsible for layout of the building structure, partitions and other portions of the work.
  • Assist in submittal and shop drawing review as assigned.
  • Maintain a working relationship with the entire project delivery team.
  • Provide support to the project team to maintain owner, designer and client relationships.
  • As required, manage all field operations of trade partners to install their portion of the work.
  • Ensure exceptional quality of work, in accordance with plans and specifications.
  • Help implement and maintain quality control programs and life safety checkout procedures.
  • Learn and use technology (hard & software) to accomplish tasks.
  • Participate in R&M training opportunities to grow your skills.
  • Support Superintendent and Project Manager in providing leadership for areas of responsibility.
  • Lead and develop all assigned jobsite field management team to effectively perform their job requirements.
  • Contribute to management of job activities in accordance with R&M standards and contract requirements.
  • Lead and develop all assigned field labor to accomplish designated tasks successfully.

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TEAM: (Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of the job)

  • Preferably, a degree in Building Science, Construction Management or Civil Engineering. Education can be substituted with experience or another related degree.
  • Preferably have experience specifically in healthcare construction.
  • Good written and oral communications. Able to speak effectively before groups of the project team.
  • Ability to read, analyze, & interpret, safety rules, operating & maintenance instructions, & procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Advanced analytical and reading skills.
  • Good computer skills in Microsoft Office Programs.
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
  • Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
  • Use of basic reasoning and ability to resolve issues quickly with little or no direction from a superior.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule format.
  • Preferably, OSHA 30 Hour certified. If not current, receive within 1st year of and keep current.
  • Knowledge of all facets of ground up Healthcare Construction/New Renovation.
