Project Manager opportunity at Triad Fabricators

Triad Fabricators, based in Evansville, Indiana, was formed by consolidating three legacy fabrication shops; Traylor Bros. (founded in 1946), Sterling Industrial (founded in 1982), and Traylor Industrial (founded in 1984).

Our focus is fabrication, which is what we do best, but as part of the Traylor Construction Group, we have the resources to see any project through from concept to completion. With both domestic and international experience, Triad has proven ability on a global scale.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

This position will manage several projects simultaneously and procure, coordinate and manage subcontractors and suppliers. Some key tasks and responsibilities are:

• Monitor material lead times and delivery dates
• Communicate daily with the production team (Production Manager, Superintendents, Scheduler, Operations Manager)
• Share client progress meetings and prepare meeting minutes
• Review, log and monitor submittals and Coordinate Shop Drawings
• Prepare, log and monitor Requests for Information (RFI’s)
• Prepare, log and monitor Change Proposals
• Prepare, log and monitor Client AIA Requisitions for Payment
• Process subcontractor and supplier invoices
• Facilitate project closeout

(Project size can range from $100K to $20M, need someone with background to manage the larger projects and experience with proper change management)

Education and/or Work Experience Requirement:

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers
• Excellent computer proficiency (MS Office –Word, Excel, and Outlook)
• Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service (imperative)
• Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard practices
• High school diploma or GED required
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, construction management or related field preferred

Work Environment/Job Conditions

This job is performed both in the office and in the fabrication shop/field. Work requires experience and confidence working in and around heavy equipment, systems and conditions. Activities and responsibilities require frequent sitting (often working on a computer), regular walking, standing, light lifting, bending, and reaching. Due to tool and computer usage, the hands and wrists may have repetitive motions.
