HJF is seeking a Project Manager, Clinical Trials to oversee a collection of related/integrated projects that together support a long-term research initiative. This position strategically guides one or more project management coordinators and related teams of assigned projects to ensure they are all working effectively toward the program’s stated objectives. Typically oversees moderately complex scope of work. Remote options are available for this opening.
This position will be in support of Global-ID, Emerging Infectious Diseases.
- Serve as main point of contact and liaison between internal and external stakeholders (i.e. Principal Investigators, Program Sponsors, organizational leadership and project management teams).
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships on matters of mutual interest. Track and report on progress and outcomes.
- Develop and manage key program elements, including but not limited to goals and milestones, risks, available resources, budgets, standard operating procedures, quality control, and results.
- Identify project interdependencies, aligning resources and efforts where appropriate.
- Supervise, advise and guide Project Management Coordinator(s) and Teams throughout the program lifecycle, focusing on the strategic direction of the projects.
- Take corrective action as needed.
- Support and participate in planning, creation and submission of proposals and agreements including associated budgets
- Position may oversee non clinical activities as necessary
- Experience leading cross functional international clinical collaborations is a plus
- Prior experiences and education in the life sciences strongly preferred
- Familiarity with knowledge of federal budget processes and fundamental principles of project management
- Strong Interpersonal skills, including the ability to clearly communicate verbally and in writing, build and maintain teams, report to leadership within HJF and client PI as well identify and resolve problems.
- Transparency and communication on progress, risks and strategy planning are key expectations
- Demonstrated ability to plan, schedule, and coordinate workload responsibilities to meet strict proposal and deliverable deadlines
- Working knowledge of a variety of software including but not limited to Microsoft Office, Smartsheet, Box, proposal/project tracking, and data analysis software are preferred
- Direct Supervisor: Direct authority to supervise may evolve as a responsibility, initially position will be partnered with a project coordinator that will include assigning work support activities, mentoring and contribute to employee performance evaluations
Ability to stand or sit at a computer for prolonged periods
- This position will take place primarily in an office setting.
- Bachelor's Degree in Life sciences, scientific disciplines or equivalent.
- Minimum of 6-8 years experience required
The likely salary range for this position is $72,400 USD to $90,000 USD annually based on a 40-hour work week. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensations or salary. Final salary will be determined based on market analysis, experience, and education
Some positions or sites may require that the incumbent be fully vaccinated against COVID-19. Proof of vaccination may be required.
